ETS Rail-Car by RAYLO ??? Empty ETS Rail-Car by RAYLO ???

Post by Kevin123 Sat Aug 29, 2015 7:12 am

Hello Members.

I have seen the GWR railcar for sale on the Raylo website and it looks a very nice model , does anyone own one of these models and are they good runners ?

Plastic or tin-plate body ???

They also make an Express Parcel type , it seems expensive at £450.00 but i really like this prototype , just need some advice before spending £££.

Kevin.

ETS Rail-Car by RAYLO ??? Empty Re: ETS Rail-Car by RAYLO ???

Hi Kevin
I have a GWR Railcar and I am very pleased with it. The body is all metal, the interior lights up to show the seating and it also has automatically switching front and rear lamps. It has twin motors (each bogie is powered) and runs very smoothly. Would look better with passengers and a driver but I may add these to mine shortly.
I bought mine from Paul Lumsdon at WJ Vintage. He accepts credit and debit cards whereas Raylo as far as I know doesn't have this facility.
The Express Parcel type is cheaper than the passenger version at £430.00 (or at least it is on the WJVintage website)
I hope you find this of some use
Best Wishes
Will

Hello Will.

Thank you for your reply to my post , yes the rail-car sounds very nice and i agree with you that a driver figure inside would be nice.

I will have to give WJ vintage a call as i only have a debit card for payments .

I like the fact that they are all metal body, i really dislike plastic !!!!

Hi Stan,
I use a Helmsman 5 amp controller but to be honest my Railcar only draws 1/2 amp even with all the interior lights blaring so you could get away with far less. I'd have thought a 12 volt, 2 amp controller would be fine.
Best Wishes
